Game of thrones season 6 episode 6 – Blood of My Blood

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 6

If last episode showed the death one the most beloved character in the series, then this episode was all about the resurgence of one the forgotten characters. Which character will be back in the series, read on to know more?

After watching this episode, we felt that Tommen is such a wimp; he is weak minded and can be easily swayed. We hated Jeffory because he was a stuck up and sadist (not more than Ramsay though). Frankly speaking, we have started to hate Tommen more. He is just an annoyance. Earlier it seemed as if he might be a better ruler than his brother and father, but we were wrong; he seems to be worst of the lot.

Enough of Tommen bashing, coming back to the episode, we felt that this episode has taken things forward in more than one way. For starters, we would like to comment on Khaleesi. She has not only managed to unite the Dothraki people, but also convinced them to cross the sea and conquer the Westeros for her.

Things have changed for the worse at King’s Landings. We feel that some sort of a civil war might follow soon.

Benjamin Stark is Back

Talking about the events of the episode, we see Bran being rescued by a hooded figure by the army of White Walkers. That hooded figure is none other than Benjamin Stark, who was saved by the children. Although, he himself looks like a white walker he isn’t one. He reveals that he was stabbed by the White Walkers, but was saved by the children by stabbing a Dragonstone into his heart. Maybe he is a part White Walker. It was nice to see Benjamin Stark back again and more powerful this time. It seems that this season is all about the resurgence of the Starks.

Another pleasant surprise in the episode was when Sam finally reaches his home. He is surely from a well to do family. His father seems to be rich and powerful and quite a fighter, something which Sam isn’t (Although he did manage to kill a White Walker). His family members seem to be nice people and quite supportive of him, all except his father who gets further angry when he comes to know that the girl with him is a wildling. He admonishes Sam for being weak and for showing interest in becoming a Grand Maester of the Night’s Watch and banished him forever from his house. Sam decides enough is enough and smuggles the girl and her child and also his family sword and runs away.

Meanwhile in King’s Landing, the situation has become worse. Tommen as we mentioned earlier, is weak and get swayed easily. This is exactly what happened when Margery convinced him that The High Sparrow is right and that it is important for religion to exist. When the members of the King’s Council decide to stop Margery’s Walk of Atonement and get rid of High Sparrow for once and for all, they are in for a rude surprise. They are surprised and shocked to find that Tommen himself supports the High Sparrow.

The Dothraki army now stand behind Khaleesi

Now that Danny has the entire Dothraki army standing behind her, she has become more powerful than ever. Now the only thing she needs are ships to cross the narrow sea. This where Eon will play a significant role, but somehow we feel that he cannot be trusted entirely and that Danny and Co. will have to be careful with him.

Another character which has been brought back is Walter Fray. We haven’t exactly seen him since the Red Wedding. He is seen giving his sons a piece of his mind when he comes to know that they have lost the control of an important castle.

ep56-ss06-1920

Coming back to King’s Landing Jammie Lannister has lost his position as the Knight of the King’s Guard. It now seems that he will lead the army of the house of Lannisters.

Overall speaking about the episode, it was quite a well- rounded episode, with a number of major developments taking place, none so more than Tommen supporting High Sparrow and the faith. This will surely make things more interesting and might see the role of religion gaining importance in the daily affairs of Kingdom. How the King’s Council will react to this and take further steps to contain the High Sparrow and his men will be a treat to watch.

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 5 Sneak preview

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 5 “The Door”

With the last episode ending in a rather fiery manner, it seems that episode five has a lot more to offer. For starters, it was shown in the preview that Sansa will be confronting Littlefinger. We don’t know where they will be meeting but going by the looks of it, it seems that it is Castle Black. Maybe Peter has come to announce his support for removing Bolton as the Lord of Winterfell.

After her new transformation, especially where now it seems that she has the willpower and the determination to take revenge. Sansa seems to be a character to reckon with.

We guess that after living with Ramsay Bolton, Sansa has become stronger.

Has Arya Stark finally become the girl with no name?

Arya Stark who was missing in the last episode has her story picked up again. The man with no name gives her something in a bottle, what are the contents in the bottle? It is are not known, although there is a dead body beside it.

Meanwhile in the IronIslands, the struggle for succession has begun. We see a huge crowd gathered as if a fight is about to take place; any guesses who is it going to be fought between?

Another Lady in red?

In Mereen, a mysterious lady appears who happens to intimidate even Lord Varys. Who is she? Is she also a spymaster or is she one of the slave master, or one the slaves; time will only tell.

Oh and finally we see the army of the White Walkers. It is definitely not in the present as Bran is still unable to use his legs, so maybe it is the future or it could be a vision of the past from a different time.

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 4 “Book Of The Stranger”

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 4

The way events unfolded in episode three, many fans believed that the sixth season of Game Of Thrones will be somewhat boring, but wonders of wonders, episode four were not as boring as the last one. In all honesty the fourth episode has brought back life in the season which episode four had taken away from it. For starters we see both Jon Snow and Daenerys taking charge of things around them. Jon, it seems that is all set to kick Ramsay Bolton’s ass and Daenerys has literally burned the foundations of the Dothraki people in flames.

In the opening scene of the episode we see Sansa entering Castle Black. It is perhaps a moment which most of the people might not be waiting for, but when it did, it had a profound effect on the audience. It is the first time since season 1 that Jon has seen any of his family members, so it is kind of an emotional moment not only for him, but also us, the fans. How often as fans of the series we had wondered and wished for Starks not leaving Winterfell at all, the same thoughts are echoed by Sansa too. For a change in this we see glimpses of Lady Catalyn Stark in Sansa when she talks to Jon Snow about getting back Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton. One suddenly realises that Sansa has become a strong woman. Meanwhile it seems that Jon Snow might not be alone. Littlefinger somehow manages to convince Robin of Vale to March on at Winterfell and save Sansa from Ramsay Bolton.

Things haven’t been going too well with Loras Tyrell. He has been battered and bruised and broken down by the Faith. When Margery meet him she tells him that the Faith is trying to break him further, so he has to remain strong, but it seems that he has been damaged beyond repair. Once a proud and a respected knight, he has fallen from grace. In the meantime Cersei manages to convince the King’s Council to take a strict action against the High Sparrow, as their personal interests and pride also lay on the way of High Sparrow and that he will target them next. They all put their differences aside and hatch a plan to take care of the High Sparrow for once and for all. Theon returns to the Ironhills and it is clear that his sister is quite disappointed in him, but somehow wants him to become a man once again. She perhaps wants him to be strong.

Capture

It is truly mind boggling that how many times he has managed to manipulate things in his own interest. Also, we still wonder on whose side he really belongs to or roots for. Meanwhile in Mereen we see Tyrion cracking a deal with the slave masters, where he gives them seven years to de-slave the free cities. Obviously this decision is not welcomed by Greyworm, Missandei and the former slaves. Tyrion tells them that his is politics and things need to be done in order to make peace with their enemies. How Daenerys will react to this new development will only be known once she is back from the Dosh Khaleen. Back in Kings landing interesting events have taken place. The High Sparrow has asked Margery to meet her brother who is languishing in the prisons, but not before he gives her a lecture about sins and in doing so talks about his life and what made him choose his current life.

Game Of Thrones Episode Guide

He however wants his sister to rule the kingdom. At this point we sort of feel for Theon, after all that he has been through, he finally returns home not as a hero but more as an outcast. The best part of the episode comes at the last. Daenerys has been taken to the Dosh Khaleen and it seems that her fate will be decided by the other Khals, however she has a plan. Eventually after making fun of her and demeaning her when they finally decide her fate, Danny turns the tables on the other Khals and burns alive all of them. She is now the queen of the Dothraki people. Overall this episode was a delight to watch as many significant developments take place, which will add to the story. For once Sansa has stood up and made her voice count. She suddenly seems to be so strong and mature. As far as Tyrion is concerned, he has taken a lot of decisions which are praise worthy, however the decision to give the Slave traders significant time to de-slave themselves, might not go down too well with Daenerys (It is just a speculation).

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 3

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 3 “Oathbreaker”

Episode three of Game of Thrones Season 6 was aired, and to be honest, it did not go the way we expected it to go. All the hype and the excitement which was created by the first two episodes, was just brought down by the third episode. Perhaps the only silver lining in the dark cloud that the fans finally saw Olly die and why not as he deserved to be hanged after stabbing Jon Snow right through the heart.

We kind of thought that seeing Jon Snow come back alive would be nice, but somehow the makers failed to capture the excitement which surrounded it. In simple language, the episode was rather dull if not completely boring. Another aspect of the episode which we found disturbing was that it felt as if the producers were rushing through the plots of various characters. Before the audience could connect to the scene, it changes. Now coming to a more detailed analysis of the episode; Although Jon Snow is back, he seems to be more confused now. We guess that the line ‘You know nothing Jon Snow’, is best echoed here.

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 3 Sneak Preview

There is a sort of uncertainty which comes with him this time. He even doubts himself. He wonders that if he failed the first time, he might fail the second time too. He gives up is title of Lord Commander and has left the fans absolutely clueless as to what step is he going to take next. Will he go to Winterfell? Or is he going to King’s Landings? What he is going to do next. It will surely be interesting to watch what he is going to do next. And just when I was wondering about Rickon Stark, he appears to be taken captive by none another than Ramsay Bolton. In the teaser it was shown that one the lords had captured someone of great importance; many thought that it would be Theon Greyjoy, but it turned out that it was Rickon. How well will he fare against sadist Ramsay Bolton, this only time will tell. Meanwhile Daenerys has also entered the place where widows of all the other Khals stay, the temple of Dosh Khaleen. Here she learns that she might not stay in the temple as she did not come immediately after Khal died, so she might face some kind of punishment from the Khals.

Coming to King’s Landing first thing what we would like to say is that for a change the king’s council seems to have a spine. They seem to be less scheming and maybe follow the path of righteousness. When the Lannisters try to intimidate them, they seem to not bother about it; in fact they turn the tables against the brother sister duo and leave them wanting for more. Meanwhile Tommen tries to confront the High Sparrow and instead he ends up listening to him. He seems to be weak king who has difficulty in making up his mind. Arya Stark on the other hand seems to be a strong character. She is determined to become the girl with no name and her persistence also impresses the man with no name, who finally gives back her eyesight. We are so sure that she will turn out to be a badass, quite unlike her elder sister Sansa, who seems to be a whimp.

Game of thrones Book Series

It will be interesting to how she develops her skills from here. Bran Stark sees how his father kills one of the greatest knights and is not really impressed by it. He sort of has a rude shock and realises that all along his father had not told him the complete truth about the battle of Tower of Joy. We hear a lady shout from the tower, but we do not know who she is. Our guess is she is Lyanna Stark who is about to give birth to a baby, and this baby might be Jon Snow. Overall the episode was rather a slow one, with producers racing through the plot lines, with giving character the screen space to develop the plot. We just hope that the rest of the episodes in the season aren’t as boring as this one. For more information, keep a lookout on this page.

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 3

episode 3The second episode of Season 6 Game of Thrones ended rather dramatically and we saw the resurrection of Jon Snow. We are quite happy when Ed ordered Oly to be thrown outside the Wall, discussion for that will be later.

Game of thrones season 6 Episode 3

Teaser for the third episode was recently released and boy, it does look promising. We finally se Jon Snow getting up and coming back from the dead, and what appears to be, walking among the members of the Night’s Watch and the Wildlings. We also see Jaqen telling Arya Stark that if she is no one, then she has nothing to fear. We see her fighting The Waif and actually blocking her attacks.

Is Arya Stark Ready ?

We think that Arya is now ready for her next level, which bring her closer to becoming an assassin.

We also one the knights bringing “a present” for Ramsay Bolton, who is now the lord of Winterfell. We have a feeling that in his attempt to reach his homeland, Theon Greyjoy has been captured and being brought back to Winterfell to Ramsay Bolton. If this is true, we hope that Ramsay shows mercy to him. But then Ramsay being the psychopath he is, might just torture him even more.

Daenerys is also seen amongst a great horde of the Dothraki nearing the Dosh Khaleen temple where she is slated to remain for the rest of her life. What changes will she bring in the city, remains to be seen?

Is it Rhaegar Targaryen?

In another scene, Bran is having one of those visions of the past where it is seen that his father and possibly his uncles are fighting someone of great importance. Our guess is it is one the Targaryen, Possibly Rhaegar Targaryen. He will eventually be defeated by Robert Baratheon.

Going by the teaser, we are sure that episode three has a lot to offer in terms of history of a few characters, now that Bran has the ability to go back into the past and see things that have happened. The fans are sure to have a delight on this one.

Meanwhile in Winterfell things take ugly turn. Roose Bolton has a baby boy who will become the king, as he is the legit son. The news of the baby being born does not go down well with Ramsay, and he stabs and kills his own father. We are sure that this might have ticked off a lot of fans of the series. In front of Ramsay Bolton, Jeffory seems to be a tame lamb. What he does next is even more horrifying. He kills Malda and his half brother in a very gruesome manner. He feeds them to his dogs.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Another new and a powerful character is introduced in this episode. After escaping the men of Ramsay Bolton, Theon decides to return to the Iron Islands. Back in Iron Islands Theon’s uncle Euron Greyjoy arrives and kills King Balon Greyjoy unknown to the rest of the people.

In Kings Landings Jaime confronts High Sparrow and sort of threatens him, but the High Sparrow seems to have the upper hand as his followers arrive in the temple with clubs in their hands. Seeing whom Jamie decides otherwise. One of the most gruesome scenes of the episode is at King’s Landing, when the Mountain kills a drunk commoner who is making lewd comments on Cercsei Lannister. He smashes his head on the wall and kills him instantly. It seems that The Mountain has a thing for smashing heads.

Due to a number of factors, the second episode was much better than the first one. There are a number of things happening in the plotline and almost everything is shown. There are few moments in the episode which will make you gasp, one them is when Ramsay kills Roose Bolton. Also, for the first time we see Euron Greyjoy who is believed have the Dragonstone, which has the power to control the Dragons.

Also, the fate of Jon Snow after his resurrection is relatively unknown. What will happen to him now, what role will he play in the epic saga? Will he and the wildlings together manage to stop the White Walkers and the army of Dead?

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 : The Red Lady

Game of Thrones Season 6

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1

Well, Game of Thrones Season 6’s first episode just premiered and it was surely a doozie. First things first, the episode throughout managed to grab the attention of the audience. One reason why this happened was because the way the characters were reintroduced. The episode felt more engaging and created an instant connect with the viewers.

One reason why this happened was the juncture where season five ended. Jon Snow was murdered by his own brothers of the Night Watch, Arya Stark had gone blind because she assassinated a person without turn, Theon Greyjoy and Sansa Stark were seen jumping off the parapets of Winterfell, Cersei Lannister had done the Walk of Shame, and Margaery Tyrell has been locked up by the High Sparrow for abetting unnatural things. Myrcella had been poisoned and as a result, she had died.

Daenerys was seen riding her dragon and been surrounded by the Dothraki people.

So there are all these unanswered questions, of what will happen next, what will be the reaction of the characters, what will happen to them next which created a lot of intrigues and this is what worked for the opening episode of the season. All these questions, doubts are answered and cleared in the first episode of Season 6.

In the opening scene, we see a dead Jon Snow right after he has been stabbed by some of his brothers of the night watch. His body has been discovered by Sir Davos, who takes him to his chambers with a help of other Nights Watch members who were Snow’s friend.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Alliser Thorne who was never fond of Snow takes charge of the Castle and asks those who remain loyal to snow to handover the body to him. They could either surrender or die.

All is not well at King’s Landing

Meanwhile back in Kings Landing Jammie Lannister returns with the body of Myrcella, seeing which Cersei is visibly devastated. She tells Jammie that Myrcella was everything that Cersei wasn’t.  She even reveals the prophecy in which she was told that she will lose all her children.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy are seen escaping Winterfell. They are being pursued by Bolton’s men and hounds. When Theon realises that escape running won’t do any god anymore, he hides Sansa Stark and tries to mislead the Bolton men, but they see through him and find Sansa. As soon as they are about to capture her, Bernie arrives and kills off all the Bolton’s men. She later offers her services to Sansa, which the latter accepts.

Game of Thrones Season 6

More than anyone else, the fans probably have been dying to know the fate of Arya Stark. She has been one of the most  loved character.  As a punishment for stealing the many faces from the House of Black, Arya has been blinded. In episode one she is seen begging on the streets of Bravoos, where she has to fend for herself. The Waif comes to her and starts beating her with a stick and challenges her to a duel. When she is unable to do anything the Waif leaves and promises to come the next day.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Coming to Daenerys, she has been captured by the Dothraki people. She is the prisoner of the Khalasar and is taken to their leader Khal Moro. She also gets a lot of jeers from her captors. When she reveals her identity, Moro ridicules her by saying that she is nothing more than a bed slave, but when she tells her that she is the wife of Khal Drogo, he has a change of heart. She thanks him and says that he will be rewarded with horses, but Moro tells her that she will be escorted to the temple of Dosh Khaleen where she will live with the widows of other Khals.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Sir Jorah Mormont and Dario Naharis are seen riding together and reach the place where Daenerys was captured by the Dothraki.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Unexpected twist at the end

What truly caught the audience unaware was the ending of the first episode. We see Melisandre taking of her clothes; it seems that she is retiring for the night. That is where the surprise comes in. As soon as she takes off her necklace, she is turned into a wrinkly old woman. This has taken everyone by surprise.

Game of Thrones Season 6

Many believe that she is preparing herself to resurrect Jon Snow. What will happen next only time will tell as even the Books haven’t been written after season five; because of which many people are on edge?
